     Joseph was born Feb 2, 1923, Conneaut, Ashtabula, Ohio.
     In Dec 11, 1942 he enlisted to the Air Corps.

     In 1943 he arrived in England to join the 401st BG.
     His last mission, Apr 29, 1944, Target: Berlin, A/C weaved around after apparently being hit by flak.
     It then joined another formation until it was lost sight of.

     He was awarded with an Air Medal and a Purple Heart Medal.

     In 1944, when Glenn died on the age of 21 he left behind his family :

         His father, Joseph J Vistejn, age 43
         His mother, Beulah Vistejn, age 41
         His sister, Arlene Vistejn, age 22




Mission to Berlin, Germany, # 2 engine hit by flak, It then joined another formation until it was lost sight of.
Crashed near Leers, France / Belgium border



     The plane was hit and the controls were shot out and cockpit set afire by 20 mm cannon from six FW-190's.
     It is believed that Joseph was injured too badly.
     The French underground, Mr E. Guilbert, found his body in the plane.

     He was buried at the community cemetery Lille (France) in the South English Section, grave no 5.
     Joseph flew 3 missions.
