Clyde A. Lewis, a Knight of Malta, is shown with his wife, Helen and their son, Rev. Clyde A. Lewis of the Diocese of Ogdensburg. Lewis' election to the order by the founding fathers of the American Chapter of the Knight of Malta, one of the highest orders in the Roman Catholic Church, recognizes more than 20 years of service in the field of veterans' welfare and rehabilitation.
The picture was taken at Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY after Lewis' induction by Cardinal Terrence Cook, Archbishop of New York, at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City during January of 1971.
